| Carolina Blue Ridge Classic Bike Ride |

A bike ride for the Carolina's Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. It is August 6 and 7, with a non-supported fun ride Sunday, August 8. It is the only ride that begins and ends here in Avery County. Most of the ride stays inside our county as well. The riders all stay here in Avery County for the weekend.
Friday's route will take you on to the Blue Ridge Parkway and will include 50 challenging miles of mountainous roads. We will meet for dinner Friday night and welcome in the cyclists for Saturday's ride.
Saturday we will start at 9am and ride up to to 80 miles of extremely beautiful roads. You will have the option to end at the Top or Bottom of Beech Mountain! Either choice will leave you breathless and amazed at your accomplishment.
Saturday night we will all go to the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Sugar Mountain and enjoy those fesitivities.
Kids Run Ride will be 1-3 miles on Saturday afternoon. Sunday ride is free, fun and not supported by SAG or water stops.
