Date: 8/10 - 8/17

Wendy Hayes Quartet coming to Lees-McRae's Hayes Auditorium in Banner Elk, Tuesday August 17, at 7:30 p.m. Admission costs $15. For tickets and box office information, call 828-898-8709.

She is mixing it up this year. They last couple of year's they've done piano-based and drums. Now it's quintet, guitarist, bass and drums to compliment her saxophone and clarinet. It's jazzy, it's big band, and it's all about style.

The mountain audiences are her home base, so they thought it would be fun to do a CD preview and let the mountain audience hear the new group. She calls it traditional pop; it's about the feelings the songs bring.
