About Dallas Reese: Dallas Reese is a singer/songwriter who grew up just outside of Charlotte in Concord, NC. He has been performing as a solo acoustic artist around the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic since graduating from Appalachian State University. While in college, Dallas gave up hope on saving the world and winning the Nobel Peace Prize and decided to do the only thing he could do and not have to get a job. Sing, play and write.
Growing up, Reese took piano lessons for about five years. His formative years were spent listening to singer/songwriters Billy Joel, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen. He bought his first guitar while in college. He jammed with others but felt he was best playing solo. He won various talent shows doing piano and acoustic guitar shows and then branched out to the club circuit. Along with playing thousands of gigs, Dallas has spent 20 years working in radio across the country, spending time at WRFX Charlotte, WGFX Nashville TN, WCMC Raleigh NC, WTQR Greensboro NC, WESC Greenville SC, WMJJ Birmingham Ala., WCYK Charlottesville VA, and WKKW Morgantown, WV.
He currently travels the southeast playing with the Dallas Reese trio with veteran guitarist and Statesville, NC resident Super Gene Davis and Greensboro, NC native Doug Cargel on drums, vocals and percussion.
Dallas also has played many festivals throughout the Carolinas including: Gastonia's Fish Camp Jam, The York Summerfest, Matthews Stumptown Festival, The Dilworth Jubilee, Center Cityfest, Springfest, The Carolina Musicfest, The Kernersville Summerfest, Boonville Heritage Days Festival, Pickens, SC Azalea Festival, The Uncle Sam Jam (High Point, North Carolina) and various corporate gigs for NASCAR, Lowes Home Improvement Corporation, Merrill Lynch, Enterprise Rental Cars, TCI Logistics, Novant Health and others.
