Relocation Information for Banner Elk

Banner Elk is a small town nestled in the mountains between Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain.  Also close by is Grandfather Mountain famous for its swinging bridge, and Grandfather Mountain State Park.

Four seasons each are full of fun.

In the winter enjoy snow sports such as skiiing, snowboards and iceskating.

The spring is a wonderful time to hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway or the Appalachian Trail, where wonderful wild flowers abound.

Summer brings lots of outdoor music, including Banner Elk's Concerts in the Park, Art and Craft shows, Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and more.

The Fall is always a spectacular show of nature when the trees turn oranges, reds, and yellows.  Visitors come from near and far for the Woolly Worm Festival.

The Town of Banner Elk is home to Lees-McRae College, Ensemble Theatre, The Banner Elk Cultural Arts Center, and lots of great locally owned restaurants and shops.  Its a nice place to call home.
