Don't forget to plan for the great festivals that happen in the center of town.

Fall: You can't get better foliage colors than the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Fall. Enjoy a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoy crisp mountain air.

Fall is also the time for the Famous Woolly Worm festival. Always the 3rd weekend of October.

Winter: Winter sports make Banner Elk a fun place to be. Choose either Sugar Mountain or Beech Mountain for Skiing, snow boarding, ice-skating and tubing.

Its also a great time of year to rent a cabin and curl up with a book around a toasty warm fire.

Spring: Spring time in Banner Elk bursts with life!  Its a perfect time to walk in the woods, play in the park, and stroll through town. Enjoy a quiet weekend or visit us for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
