BE Artists Gallery Expansion

With its grand opening on a wet and wild Saturday, April 14, the beautiful new BE Artists Gallery expansion in the Historic Banner Elk School offers the best in locally made art. Formed by a group of local artists, the BE Artists Gallery features fine arts and crafts for sale to the public. All items are hand-made objects of beauty and utility created by artisans living within a 50-mile radius of Banner Elk. Displays vary throughout the year and include such mediums as: fabric art, fine furniture, glass works, graphic arts, jewelry, metal works, paintings, photography, pottery and wood turnings.

Summer hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and other times by appointment. 828-898-6767

What Else is at the Cultural Center at the Historic Banner Elk School? Stop in some day just to see the impressive upgrades to the school. Many of the floors and much wainscoting have been refinished, fresh paint applied, new lights installed, and there is a new entryway that makes a cold, wet entry much easier. After all, the building is humming year-round! There are several new upscale conference/meeting rooms available for rent. Contact Allan Bolick for information about rentals at the school, 828-292-0048.
