Attention Chamber Businesses: Banner Elk Christmas Tree Festival 2019 Call for Participants

Guidelines for the Banner Elk Chamber Chamber Christmas Tree Contest

1. Christmas Tree.....Must be a live tree and MUST BE DISPLAYED OUTSIDE OF BUSINESS. Trees should be placed near the opening of the business in a reasonable spot. Must be over 5' tall. The tree needs to be secured to prevent tipping over in case of wind or snow, and you must be able to provide the tree with water to keep it alive and healthy for the holiday season.

2. The tree must be up and decorated by November 17th; this allows folks visiting BE for Thanksgiving or here to cut down their own Christmas tree, the ability to vote for their favorite tree. Trees will need to be taken down after New Year's Day.

3. Trees can be decorated however you wish as long as they are done in a tasteful manner.

4. People can vote for their favorite tree online at bannerelk.org at the BE Chamber any time of the day or night starting November 18th. The Chamber is open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the winter. After-hour voters can slip their votes through the mail slot in the front door of the BE Chamber at any time.

5. Voting will be closed by 12 Noon on December 7th 2019. Votes will be counted and the winner will be announced at the" Small Town Christmas Festival in the Park" that evening at Tate-Evans Park.

6. Prize...….The winner of the contest will be awarded a trophy, publicity, and all the glory of helping Banner Elk be it's joyous best during the holiday season!

7. Participating Businesses must register (so we can include your business on the voting ballot) by email to BannerElkChamber@gmail.com by November 15th.
